Their story

Prince James, Duke of Cambridge, was born on July 12, 1663, at St. James's Palace, a member of the venerable House of Stuart. As the son of James, Duke of York—who later reigned as monarch of Scotland, England, and Ireland—Prince James held a significant position within the royal lineage. Though his life was brief, he was formally recognized with the ducal title. He passed away on June 20, 1667, at Richmond Palace, his early departure a poignant note in the annals of Stuart history.
